Anna's Professional Nail Assessment

This assessment provides personalised, realistic guidance based on your nail history and the photographs you submit. It is not a source of miracle cures, instant repair or secret treatments that I withhold from my public content.

In many cases, the main issue is accumulated damage. The appropriate plan may therefore involve stopping the source of that damage, simplifying your routine and allowing the affected portion of the nail to grow out. Meaningful improvement often takes several months.

My recommendations are usually simple, practical and based on consistent care. I will not suggest unnecessary products or complicated treatments simply to make the advice appear more impressive.

The value of the assessment is understanding what is likely happening in your particular case, what may be making it worse, what can reasonably improve and what you should do next.

What is included

Your assessment includes:

• A personalised 15–20 minute video
• My comments on the information and photographs you provide
• Cosmetic nail-care recommendations based on what I can see
• Links to any products or resources I recommend, when applicable
• One follow-up email for clarification, if needed

Before purchasing

Please purchase this service only when you have:

• All the requested information ready
• Four clear, high-resolution photographs ready to send
• Access to the email address used when placing your order
• For toenail assessments, two clear photographs are usually sufficient.

I will send your completed assessment within 3–4 business days after receiving all the required information and photographs.

Important submission requirements

Please reply to the order confirmation email using the same email address entered when placing your order.

Also adding our email thesalonlife@gmail.com to your address contacts helps to ensure the delivery.  

The email address on the order, the email used to submit your information and the email to which I send the completed assessment must all match. This helps prevent confusion, delivery problems and chargebacks.

I cannot accept information sent from several different email addresses or across multiple separate email threads.

Please send only the number of photographs requested.

Scope of the assessment

Please note that this is a cosmetic nail assessment only.

I cannot diagnose nail or skin diseases, prescribe medication or recommend medical treatment. When something appears to require medical attention, I may advise you to consult an appropriate healthcare professional.

Information to include

In your email, please answer the following questions:

1. What has your nail-care routine been during the past six months?
2. Do you buff your nails? If so, how often, and when did you last buff them?
3. Do you cut or trim the skin around your nails?
4. When did you last wear gel, acrylic, gel polish or another nail coating? Please include the approximate date, if applicable.
5. How do your nails feel?
• Hard and brittle
• Soft and bendy
• Somewhere in between

6. What are your main concerns and what are your goals? 
7. What specific questions would you like me to answer?

Please include as much relevant detail as possible. The quality of the assessment depends on the information and photographs you provide.

How to take the photographs

Before taking the photographs

1. Remove all nail polish or coatings.
2. Wash your hands and let them dry. Do not use any oils or creams
3. Use a plain white background, such as a white towel.
4. Position a desk lamp or another direct light source close to and in front of the nails. General room lighting is usually not sufficient.
5. Wipe your phone’s camera lens with a soft cloth.

Taking the photographs

1. Place the nails in the centre of the screen, approximately 15 cm or 6 inches from the phone.
2. Tap the nails on your screen so the camera focuses on them.
3. Hold the phone still and take the photograph.
4. Repeat for the remaining nails.

Before sending

• Zoom in and check that every image is sharp and properly focused.
• Do not crop, edit or apply filters to the photographs.
• Send the original, full-resolution files.
• When possible, attach them as files rather than inserting compressed versions into the email.
• Please use a smartphone camera. Tablet cameras often do not provide enough detail for this type of assessment.

Please send four photographs only, unless you are submitting toenails, in which case two may be sufficient.
